Human Blood

There is an average of 5 to 7 liters of blood in the human body. Blood consists of 40% blood cells (red and white blood cells) and 60% fluid component, the plasma.

Plasma is yellowish in color and contains 92% water, about 1% mineral salts, and about 7% proteins. Vital medications are produced from these proteins.
