Information about the capacities of our plasma centers in Austria

Dear donors,
In the current Covid-19 situation in Austria, we see that the number of donors is declining. As a result, we are temporarily adjusting our capacity. It means that the majority of our centers are now temporarily closed.

Since plasma donation is continuously important for the production of life-saving medication that cures patients with rare or chronic diseases, we will maintain the fundamental donation opportunities. Therefore, we constantly monitor the situation and adjust our capacities accordingly. For the time being, this means that the Vienna Plasma Donation Center in Kirchengasse, 1070 Vienna is open for visitors from 23.03.2020. Meanwhile, the remaining centers are closed until further notice.

Appointments can be made by phone: +43 (0) 1 52109. Our center in Kirchengasse, Vienna has another important responsibility. Namely, we also collect plasma from healthy individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 and are willing to donate their plasma for the development of a potential treatment. We are very happy to inform you that we already have our first donor!

If you are interested in learning more about it, without an obligation, feel free to contact us for further information by phone +43 (0) 120 609 2538 or email plasmaspende@takeda.com. This number also applies to all the potential donors from the Austrian federal states.

We thank you for your loyalty and understanding. We are looking forward to taking care of you again in your plasma donation center!
